We begin the treatment with Active 4 serum, which contains lactic acid and glucosamine with exfoliating properties, as well as red algae extract. These ingredients aim to soften the outermost layer of the skin, open the pores and prepare the skin for thorough cleansing, regeneration and hydration – the next steps in the treatment. Exfoliation involves removing the outermost layer of the skin, which consists of keratinised dead epithelial cells. This evens out the complexion and makes way for new, living skin cells. Thanks to this step, your at-home skincare products will be far more effective than before. The reason is that you will no longer be applying them to dead cells, but will instead be nourishing and beautifying the fresh ones. After your first Hydrafacial exfoliation, you’ll feel as though someone has wiped away years’ worth of make-up from your face!
It is applied to the entire face, with particular attention paid to problem areas of the skin. The chemical peel prepares the skin for the removal of impurities from the pores by softening and cleansing them without damaging the skin. The Hydrafacial (GlySal) chemical peel, containing glycolic and salicylic acid, is available in three different, skin-friendly concentrations. These are for mild (7.5%), moderate (15%) or intensive (30%) treatment. Thanks to the special spiral nozzle used at this stage of the treatment, we simultaneously apply and extract the peel from the skin. This creates a spiral vortex of the serum and pressurised air, which prevents the peel from remaining on the skin for too long. In this way, the skin remains fully protected. Furthermore, there is no deep exfoliation of the upper layer of the skin, and no recovery period is required.
At this stage of the procedure, we extract the build-up of impurities from the skin’s pores, leaving the skin completely clean. After a course of three treatments, even stubborn, long-standing blackheads are cleared away. None of the facial treatments we have seen to date can deal with these. In this step, we use Beta-HD serum, which has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and prevents skin irritation. It regulates sebum production and penetrates deep into the skin, stimulating it to cleanse itself naturally over the next few days following the treatment.
Here, depending on your skin’s needs, we use one or two special serums – boosters. One of these is DermaBuilder, which contains a tripeptide complex. It stimulates the cells to produce collagen and elastin to smooth out wrinkles. The other serum is Britenol, which treats pigmentation in the epidermis. It contains the skin-lightening agent alpha-arbutin, extracted from the bearberry plant. The serum also contains horse chestnut extract, as well as a stabilised form of vitamin C – the most powerful skin-lightening ingredient.
The final essential step will nourish your skin with the special Antiox+ serum for deep hydration. It contains hyaluronic acid – one of the most important ingredients – as well as vitamins A and E, and white tea extract. Together, these ingredients revitalise the epidermis, stimulate new cell growth and improve the skin’s elasticity. Camellia extract helps prevent the appearance of dark spots and freckles. An added bonus is the castor oil and horse chestnut extract, which strengthen the capillaries. And to reduce redness and protect the skin from inflammation, the extract of the magical arnica comes into play. The result is clear, smooth, hydrated and radiant skin!
The special LED lights – red and blue – are an indispensable final step in the treatment. The red lights help to rejuvenate, regenerate and firm the skin. The blue lights, on the other hand, destroy the bacteria primarily responsible for the majority of acne cases. They also soothe the skin and have an antiseptic effect.
Mechanical lymphatic therapy boosts the metabolism, helping to remove toxins from the skin and flush them out via the lymphatic system. The skin takes on a naturally healthy and radiant appearance, whilst puffiness and swelling are reduced. Suitable areas for treatment are: the face (the 33% point of the lymphatic system is located precisely there), the arms, legs, abdomen and back.
No, there is no recovery period after a facial treatment with us. There is some temporary redness following the treatment. This subsides within 10–30 minutes depending on how sensitive your skin is to the vacuum created by the device.
It is important to know that after the procedure You shouldn’t wear make-up until the end of the day. It is also a good idea to avoid exercising and getting your skin dirty on the same day.
We also recommend that you Do not wash off the serums until the evening, so that the effects last longer and you can enjoy the full magical effect of the Hydrafacial 2.0.
Before and after the procedure, the application of products containing A high SPF, such as 50, is essential!
The results are visible immediately after the first treatment. However, we recommend a course of 3 or 6 treatments, so that they are truly long-lasting.
As a maintenance treatment for clear and healthy skin, it is advisable to continue with the following after the initial course: 1 maintenance session every month or two. It depends on the condition of your skin.
If you are unsure exactly which type of treatment is suitable for your skin and how many sessions will be needed to achieve the desired result, Please come along for a consultation. It is completely free of charge.
Our therapists, who are qualified healthcare professionals, will ask you about your skin, as well as your habits and skincare routine. This will enable you to decide together on the best approach and find the best solution, which will be tailored specifically to you.
