Why is spring the season of change?

fb06.04.1100x600 2

Spring It’s the best time of year to make a fresh start. Something new, something that’s been put on hold time and again, or something that’s been put off for ages. This is the time of year when nature awakens, our bodies come to life, the days grow longer and our dreams become bolder.

Today we’d like to talk about body care. No matter what aspect we’re talking about, every beginning is difficult. It feels as though we’re walking up an endless spiral staircase. But spring is the time to go with the flow of our body’s natural processes and to we’re losing weight much easier. This is the moment when this staircase might seem to us like an escalator moving upwards.

But what are the reasons why it’s easier to lose weight in spring:

1. Natural euphoria:

The start of spring gives us the strength to take action towards the things we really want to achieve. Everything seems easier, brighter and more enjoyable.

And we do it with greater enjoyment and satisfaction.

2. Activity:

Warmer weather encourages more activity: walks, sport, leisure activities and socialising. Even spring cleaning at home or in the office. All of this leads to a gradual burning of energy and calories.

Without having to do anything in particular that requires willpower.

3. Fewer calories:

According to the Cambridge Weight Plan, in spring we consume an average of 86 fewer calories a day than in autumn. This is because our bodies no longer need to work as hard to keep warm. This is a process in which

Calorie intake slows down even further as summer approaches. That is precisely why it is enough simply to maintain our healthy habits at the same pace (without even having to increase them)

(we are working on this) so that we can achieve increasingly positive results.

In other words, a tidal wave is expected to head in our direction.

4. Breathing:

Much more freely and frequently. And that’s how we shed excess weight. Yes, that’s right – through breathing! A huge proportion of our weight is expelled from the body in the form of carbon dioxide when we breathe out. According to Ruben Meirman, known as the „surfer scientist“, the percentage is indeed enormous: 84 per cent through breathing, 16% through the excretory system (including sweating). Although this is a topic for another discussion, one thing is clear:

To lose weight, we need to breathe.

5. Nutrition:

During the colder months, many people develop SAD (seasonal affective disorder). This leads to a craving for more carbohydrates and, consequently, unwanted weight changes.

But in the spring, this process turns in our favour.

6. Vitamin D:

More sunshine means more natural synthesis of this vital vitamin. As well as being important for bone structure and helping to prevent depression, vitamin D plays a key role in maintaining the balance of phosphorus and calcium in our bodies. There is also a link between a lack of vitamin D and insulin resistance and weight gain. That is why greater exposure to the sun leads to the natural normalisation of its levels in our bodies. This is even more true in spring than in summer – when, because of the heat, we tend to stay indoors or in deep shade.

And so we get to enjoy the gentle spring sunshine.

7. Products:

Кайсии и череши – пролетни плодове

Fresh produce is just starting to appear. We all know that feeling when we take a bite of a fresh piece of fruit or a vegetable, bursting with flavour and freshly picked. And each of us has at least one such food that we dream of all winter long. Cucumbers, tomatoes, rocket, apricots, melons, watermelons – the time is almost here. This makes us want to eat fresh food rather than tinned. To eat more quickly and easily.

And, generally speaking, let’s eat less and choose fresher food.

All of this is more than enough. But there are also additional subjective factors. Firstly, spring marks a new beginning, and this is hard-wired into our minds by nature.

And secondly, when we start to shed our winter layers and reveal more of our bodies and skin, it reminds us what our true goals actually are. Perhaps we want glowing skin, a toned body and a sleek figure. Or perhaps we like ourselves just as we are and simply want to keep our bodies in good shape against the ravages of time.

One way or another Looking after our bodies is our commitment – every day, every season.

It is no coincidence that we began with the comparison between a spiral staircase and an escalator. Because spring can be the season when our efforts pay off. And that’s without having to put in any extra effort, but simply by keeping up the pace. But it’s very important let’s not backtrack.

But spring is the time when the factors are in our favour.

If, on the other hand, we haven’t made any effort so far – There’s no better time to get started. We’ve talked about this before – how important, yet how difficult, it is to build a good habit. But it’s much more motivating when you see the positive results. And whilst in autumn we need to put in more effort because we’re swimming against the current, in spring the current carries us in the direction we want to go.

Now we just need to make that initial effort – to get started.

We have some special surprises in store for you this spring. We believe that our treatments can give you that much-needed initial boost. Because here at Body Aesthetics We know that the beginning is difficult, but we also know very well that once you get started, it gets better and better with every passing day.
