When the applicators are removed, you feel a burning sensation and a rush of blood to the area. The sensation is similar to that of washing frostbitten hands with warm water. Admittedly, it isn’t the most pleasant sensation, but the therapist’s massage helps considerably, and it all subsides within about 5–10 minutes. Afterwards, the area may remain numb for a while or feel bruised due to the vacuum. However, this too subsides.
Over the next 2–3 months, the body slowly but surely eliminates the destroyed fat cells. It does so in a completely natural way via the excretory system and the lymphatic system – just as toxins or fatty acids are eliminated during weight loss. This gives the skin time to produce elastin and collagen and prevents sagging, unlike with liposuction.
